The Carroll County Community Foundation has awarded more than $114,000 to 26 local organizations, announcing the grants as it celebrated its 25th anniversary.
The awards include 23 annual Giving Tree grants and three new $10,000 Impact Grants. They were announced Oct. 11 during a celebration at the Inspiration Point Center for the Arts in Eureka Springs.
The foundation, an affiliate of the Arkansas Community Foundation, has distributed approximately $746,000 to local nonprofits through its Giving Tree program since its first grant of $300 in 2003. It now has more than $7 million in assets across 67 funds and endowments.
“Carroll County Community Foundation started with a vision — a legacy of support for nonprofits doing great work locally,” said Janell Robertson, the foundation’s executive director. “Since our first $300 grant in 2003, fundholders’ tax-deductible gifts have grown this affiliate to more than $7 million across 67 funds and endowments. It is the generosity and vision of our donors that make this work possible.”
The three impact grants will support A Cup of Love Ministries’ free lunch program, high-speed internet and mobile hotspots at the Berryville library, and a new heating and cooling system for Bethel Food Bank. The grants were made possible through the Z. Reeder Charitable Endowment.

The Carroll County Community Foundation was established in 2001 with support from the Walton Family Foundation’s Partners Program.
“For 25 years, local people have stepped forward as donors, volunteers, board members and nonprofit leaders,” said Jessica Ford, president and CEO of the Arkansas Community Foundation. “You have identified needs. You have recognized opportunities. You have helped neighbors you may never meet, and you have built resources that will continue serving this county long after all of us are gone.”
