Early voting in the Republican Preferential Primary Runoff Election began Tuesday, March 24, and continue through Monday, March 31, in Carroll County.

Early voting will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, through Friday, March 27, and on Monday, March 30, at First United Methodist Church, 400 Eureka Ave. in Berryville; St. Elizabeth Parish Center, 232 Passion Play Road in Eureka Springs; and the Green Forest Train Depot, 802 Broadway Ave. in Green Forest.

There are two races on the runoff ballot in Carroll County: District 4 Justice of the Peace Hunter Rivett of Berryville and Cody Rogers of Omaha are seeking the Republican nomination for the District 6 seat in the Arkansas House of Representatives, and state Sen. Kim Hammer and Bryan Norris are seeking the Republican nomination for Secretary of State.

Rivett received 47.68 percent of the vote across District 6 in the March 3 primary, with Rogers receiving 40.96 percent. There is no Democratic candidate for the District 6 seat, so the winner of Tuesday’s runoff will be unopposed in the November general election.

The winner of the Republican runoff for Secretary of State will be opposed in November by Democrat Kelly Grappe. In the primary, Norris received 34.42 percent of the vote, compared with 33.46 percent for Hammer.

On Election Day, Tuesday, March 31, polls will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at six vote centers in Carroll County, including St. Elizabeth Parish Center, 232 Passion Play Road, Eureka Springs; and Holiday Island Country Club, 1 Country Club Drive, Holiday Island.

The Carroll County Clerk’s office is located at 210 W. Church Ave. in Berryville or at 870-423-2022 if there are any questions.

The 2026 general election will be held Nov. 3.
