The Purple Flower Resource & Support Center will host a series of events across Carroll County in April as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, focusing on prevention, education and survivor support.
The Berryville-based nonprofit provides advocacy services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking and served more than 50 sexual assault survivors in 2025.
The organization emphasizes direct, practical outreach, including distributing drink spike tests and drink covers and maintaining a visible, accessible presence for survivors seeking help.
Arkansas ranks among the highest in the nation for sexual violence, including a reported rate of 77.2 rapes per 100,000 residents.
Events planned throughout April include outreach booths, fundraising efforts and community education initiatives aimed at prevention and awareness.
