Rhonda Worrall, graphic designer for the Carroll County News and the Eureka Springs Times-Echo won three awards during the Arkansas Press Association’s 2026 Better Newspaper Advertising Contest.
The awards were presented Friday, April 24, at the Oaklawn Jockey Club in Hot Springs.
Worrall won second place for Best Single Ad Under a Half Page for an ad she designed celebrating the 107th birthday of local resident Helen Epperson. She took third place in the same category for an ad she designed for Hometown Internet, LLC.
Worrall also won third place for Best Single Ad Half Page and Over for a two-page ad she designed for Equity Bank to honor Carroll County veterans.
“I’m so proud that Rhonda was recognized,” said Scott Loftis, owner, editor and publisher of both the Carroll County News and the Eureka Springs Times-Echo. “She is well-deserving of being honored. Not only is Rhonda very talented, but she also works hard on behalf of our advertisers and has for many years. I’m very grateful that she’s part of our team!”
Worrall attended the awards ceremony with her husband, Jeff.
More than 400 entries were submitted by newspapers across Arkansas, which competed in divisions based on their circulation and publishing frequency. The entries were judged by members of the Missouri Press Association.
