‘Unplug It Day’ set April 25 in Carroll County

Posted

Residents are encouraged to step away from screens and reconnect with family, friends and the outdoors during Carroll County’s “Unplug It Day” on Saturday, April 25.

The initiative challenges participants to go without phones, tablets, televisions and video games from sunrise to sunset, promoting real-life interaction and outdoor activity.

Organizers suggest alternatives such as hiking, reading, playing board games, spending time with family or exploring nature. The event also highlights benefits including improved mental wellness, reduced stress and stronger relationships.

Community members are encouraged to participate individually or with friends, schools and workplaces as part of a countywide effort to “disconnect to reconnect.”
