Themes set for Red Ribbon Week

Eureka Springs Elementary School will celebrate Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 23-31.

On Monday, Oct. 23 the theme will be “Scotties Across the Galaxy” and “Class Color Day.” Pre-K and kindergarten will wear red, first grade will wear blue, second grade green, third grade orange and fourth grade black.

Tuesday, Oct. 24, will be “Time Machine Tuesday” and students are urged to dress in 1950s attire or denim, black and white to celebrate the 50th day of classes.

“Guardians of the Galaxy” will be the theme for Wednesday, Oct. 25 and students will dress as their favorite super hero or wear favorite super hero colors.

On Thursday, Oct. 26, the theme will be “Dream Upon a Star” and students are asked to wear their favorite pajamas.

“You’re an All-Star” is the theme for Friday, Oct. 27, and students will wear their favorite sports jersey or team colors.

Western wear will be the theme for Monday, Oct. 30, to celebrate “Scottie Space Cowboy” day and the celebration will wrap up on Tuesday, Oct. 31 with “Superstar Scottie Readers” where students will dress as favorite book character.

••• Red Ribbon Week will be celebrated at Eureka Springs Middle School from Oct. 23-27.

On Monday, Oct. 23 the school will celebrate “True Colors” day and students are encouraged to wear red.

“Soak up the Sun” is the theme for Tuesday, Oct. 24, when students will dress as a tourist and Wednesday, Oct. 25, will be “Game On” day where students can dress as their favorite video game or character.

Thursday, Oct. 26, will be “Rock Around the Clock” day and students are asked to “show us your favorite decade.”

The celebration will wrap up on Friday, Oct. 27, with “Taking Care of Business” day and students are asked to dress as their favorite “dream job.”
