Christmas parades are a tradition in Carroll County, and it’s almost time for this year’s celebrations.

EUREKA SPRINGS

Eureka Springs will get the Christmas parade season kicked off in Carroll County with its annual Parade of Lights kicking off downtown at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. This year’s theme is “A Classic Christmas.”

“Get ready to kick off the holiday season with the Eureka Springs Christmas Parade …,” says the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce’s holiday website, ChristmasinEureka. com.

“Join us for a magical evening as we light up the streets of downtown Eureka Springs with festive floats, music and cheer,” the website reads. “This beloved community event is perfect for all ages and is sure to get you into the holiday spirit. Don’t miss this opportunity and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.”

GREEN FOREST

The Green Forest annual Christmas Parade will get underway at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, with the theme “The Magic of Christmas.”

Participant lineup begins at 9 a.m. in front of Green Forest’s historic old gym.

“We’re an agricultural community, so we love horses! Wagons! Buggies! Kids on ponies!” Rob Kerby, executive director of the Carroll County Resource Center and board member of the Green Forest Chamber of Commerce, posted on Facebook. “Riders won’t be banned to the back, either! We’ll put marchers first, then fit in the horses between floats, bicyclists, and Miss Merry Christmas contestants.”

BERRYVILLE

The Berryville Christmas Parade will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. This year’s theme is “Christmas Through a Child’s Eye.” The parade route begins at Anstaff Bank and end at the Berryville Community Center.

The community center will have food and refreshments at the end of the parade. Warm up with hot chocolate and apple cider and fill up on cookies and popcorn!
