One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Monday, March 31, in rural Carroll County.
According to a report by Arkansas State Police Trooper Britni Binam, an eastbound 2009 Toyota Scion driven by Matthew Hobbs, 19, of Marshall collided head-on with a 2017 Ram 1500 driven westbound by Yancey Dimmett, 32, of London at 12:48 a.m. at U.S. Highway 412 and County Road 945.
Hobbs was killed. A passenger in his vehicle, 19-year-old Eli Roberts, was injured. Dimmett also was injured.
Hobbs became the 104th person to die in an Arkansas traffic accident in 2025.
