The Carroll County Fair is just around the corner! Make this the year that you experience all aspects of the County fair.
The Exhibit Hall is an area of the fair that showcases a wide range of arts, crafts, photography, horticulture, floriculture and more. It’s also an area that provides education on many pertinent topics related to Carroll County.
The Carroll County Master Gardeners invite the public to attend a free fair entry workshop from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at the Carroll Electric Community Room, where Tina High will discuss how to enter items in the fair, along with the many categories available. Carroll County Master Gardener Mary Burks also will discuss tips on the best way to enter your flowers and vegetables and what the judges may be looking for in each entry.
Those in attendance at the workshop will have the opportunity to view a hand-forged gardening tool made and donated by Michael Boardman of Boardman Forge in Eureka Springs, which is being used as a fundraiser for the Carroll County Master Gardeners If you would like to learn more about the upcoming Master Gardener Fair Entry Workshop or would like to know more about the Master Gardener Fall training course, contact Monty Rexwinkle at the Carroll County Cooperative Extension Service.
