Circuit clerk seeks 2nd term

Carroll County Circuit Clerk Sara Huffman officially announced Thursday, Aug. 7, that she will seek re-election for a second term.

“Since first taking office in 2023, Huffman has worked to modernize court operations, improve public access to legal and land records, and serve the residents of Carroll County with professionalism, transparency, and care,” said a news release announcing Huffman’s re-election bid.

“It has been an honor to serve as your Circuit Clerk, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished in just a few short years,” Huffman said in the news release. “We’ve embraced technology, strengthened public service, and brought greater efficiency and accountability to the office. I’m running for a second term so we can continue moving Carroll County forward.

“As both Circuit Clerk and land recorder, I’ve focused on accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility,” Huffman said. “I’m proud of the work we’ve done, and I respectfully ask for your support in continuing that mission.”

The 2026 partisan primary election will take place on March 3, 2026. For more information about the campaign, visit Huffman’s Facebook page.
