Carroll County Community Foundation, local affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation, recently awarded 24 Giving Tree Grants to nonprofits working in and for Carroll County. These grant awards were hand-delivered by the volunteer members of the Carroll County Community Board of Directors during October.
“This year we had another record number of Giving Tree grant applications,” said Janell Robertson, executive director of the Carroll County Community Foundation. “We understood the urgent need and combined our Giving Tree Endowment grantable funds, with matching Food Security and Grade-level Reading funds, two other charitable endowment funds and a generous gift from an NWA fundholder to total over $60,000 in grants distributed this year — the largest total amount ever distributed.”

These endowments provide a permanent source of funding for local charitable causes.”
