The City of Berryville is proud to announce that $4,507 was raised for the Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center during the Holiday Open House Fundraiser on Tuesday, Dec. 16, far surpassing the original goal of $1,000. The evening proved to be both a successful fundraiser and an opportunity to educate the community about the vital role the senior center plays in Carroll County.

Funds raised throughout the evening came from silent auction proceeds, hot cocoa and cookie sales, on-the-spot donations, and generous contributions from local businesses. In total, $4,507 was raised in just one evening.

“This fundraiser became about more than just money,” said Community Engagement Director Julia Borkowski. “It was about raising awareness, educating our community, and showing support for a resource that means so much to our seniors. The outpouring of generosity we saw reminds us how strong and caring this community truly is.”
