The Brothers Comatose to Close Ozark Mountain Music Festival at The Auditorium The Ozark Mountain Music Festival will wrap up its weekend of live music with a high-energy finale as The Brothers Comatose take the stage this Saturday night, Jan. 17, at The Auditorium, serving as the festival’s official closing headliner.
Hailing from San Francisco, The Brothers Comatose have built a national following with a sound that blends traditional string band instrumentation — banjo, fiddle, mandolin, and upright bass — with the drive and spirit of rock and roll. The band’s music is rooted in harmony, rhythm, and a sense of shared experience, making them a natural choice to bring the festival to a powerful and celebratory close.
Founded by brothers Ben and Alex Morrison, the group has spent more than a decade on the road, earning spots at major festivals and touring with some of the most respected names in roots and Americana music. Their live shows are known for being joyful, energetic and highly engaging, often turning concert halls into communal singalongs by the final song.
Much of that spirit is captured in their latest album, Golden Grass, a record that reflects the band’s West Coast identity while embracing a wide-ranging musical palette. The songs move easily from upbeat, foot-stomping numbers to more reflective moments, all tied together by rich vocal harmonies and an inviting, inclusive feel. Fans and critics alike have pointed to the band’s ability to honor tradition without being bound by it.
This year’s finale also builds on the momentum of OzMoMu’s 10year anniversary when Old Crow Medicine Show brought a packed house to The Auditorium as the festival’s closing-night performance. Eureka Springs Productions’ Mary Howze, who has concepted and produced the event since its inception, says that past success has helped spark this new tradition for Ozark Mountain Music Festival: starting each year at “The Basin” and ending each year with a big, can’t-miss headliner show at The Aud that brings the entire community together under one roof.
Festival Passes are nearly sold out; however, tickets for Saturday night’s show remain on sale and are expected to move quickly. Tickets can be purchased online at https://theaud.thundertix.com/ events/256008.
