Beau Allen has announced his candidacy for the office of Carroll County prosecuting attorney.
“After much prayer, thought and meaningful discussions with my family and members of the community, I am announcing my candidacy for Carroll County Prosecuting Attorney,” Allen said in a news release on Friday, July 25. “I first visited Carroll County in 1997 and set a goal of one day making this community my home. I earned my law degree at UALR William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock, worked in private practice and at the Public Defender’s Office in Pulaski County. After this, I was fortunate to achieve my goal and accepted a job as a Deputy Prosecutor in Carroll County.
“Following a short stint at the prosecutor’s office, I accepted the job of Managing Attorney for the 19th Eastern District (Carroll County) Public Defender’s office where I have remained for the last 20 years. During this time, I have fought hard to defend the constitution. Now, I want to focus my energy and passion on upholding the constitution and fight hard to help defend and protect the citizens of Carroll County.
“In addition to my legal career, I am an active member of the community. Since moving here, I have lived in Holiday Island, Eureka Springs and now in Berryville. I am a former member of the Holiday Island Volunteer Fire Department, former member of the Eureka Springs Rotary Club, served as president of PT2 (parent teacher group) at the Academy of Excellence in Eureka Springs. I have had the opportunity to coach youth sports, including football, basketball, baseball and golf, for 15 years and counting. Our kids are our future.
“I am married and raising three children who attend Berryville Public Schools, two in high school and one in middle school. I am deeply invested in the future of our area and the resources it provides for the next generation.
“I want to protect Carroll County and help keep it safe for this generation and generations to come. With your support, I’ll work hard to uphold the law with compassion, fairness, and strength. Together, we will make a difference.
“I am always open to listen to ideas and discuss how to improve our criminal justice system. I look forward to meeting with voters across the county in the coming months. Please vote for me, Robert W. ‘Beau’ Allen, in the non-partisan general election March 3rd, 2026.”
