Library foundation to host Gatsby-themed event

The Carroll and Madison Public Library Foundation invites the community to purchase a ticket to a glamorous evening inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Literary Tastes: The Great Gatsby Edition will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at St. Elizabeth Parish Center in Eureka Springs.

This unique fundraiser blends literary charm, fine dining and 1920s flair, all in support of the foundation’s mission to provide vital resources, programs and opportunities for six member libraries across Carroll and Madison counties.

Event highlights will include:

• A dinner inspired by the elegance of the Gatsby era;

• Libations to transport guests back to the Jazz Age;

• And a silent auction featuring unique items and experiences Guests are encouraged to dress in 1920s attire. Think Daisy Buchanan, Jay Gatsby, and the dazzling spirit of the Roaring Twenties, though period clothing is optional.
