In celebration of Arkansas Community Foundation’s 50th anniversary, Carroll County Community Foundation has awarded a $10,000 grant to C4 — Training for the Future, an industrial training facility in Berryville for students from Berryville, Green Forest and Eureka Springs high schools.
C4 trains students for vital and good paying jobs in industrial maintenance, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, basic electrical, machining and equipment repair.
The local award is part of a statewide initiative totaling more than $1 million in grants made by Arkansas Community Foundation to recognize 50 years of philanthropy and partnership across Arkansas.
Each affiliate selected one nonprofit in its region based on local priorities, community data and measurable impact.
“Our board is proud to recognize C4 – Training for the Future for the outstanding opportunities it provides our local students from all three local high schools,” said Janell Robertson, executive director of Carroll County Community Foundation. “This investment reflects our community’s generosity and the mission we share with the Foundation statewide, to build stronger communities for the next generation.”
The Carroll County Community Foundation board selected C4 – Training for the Future because of its measurable results in and its alignment with community needs identified through Aspire Arkansas data and local insight, the foundation said in a news release announcing the grant.
