Mary Elizabeth (Donley) Thompson passed peacefully on November 29, 2025, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born January 2, 1953, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Woodrow and Sally Donley.
Mary grew up in the Tahlequah, Oklahoma area, where her parents owned a lake resort and marine service. A dedicated worker from a young age, she helped with concessions and cooking at the family business. In 1998, she moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, where she completed her accounting degree at the University of Arkansas. After working for a local tax firm, she founded Valentine Management Services, providing tax and payroll services to a loyal and growing clientele. Mary was known for her integrity, intelligence, patience, and cheerful spirit. Clients and friends admired her kindness, honesty, and wonderful laugh.
Devoted to personal and spiritual growth, Mary studied for many years under Audley Allison. She embraced meditation, yoga, and a life grounded in love, encouraging others through her example.
Mary’s passions were many. She was a massage therapist, devoted organic gardener, and lover of music, dance, cooking, travel, reading, nature, herbs, and natural healing. She cherished her pets, plants, friendships, and a warm, welcoming home.
She was a loving and loyal partner to her husband, Randal Thompson, who will miss their travels, woodland walks, shared cooking and gardening, laughter, and the joy she brought to everyday life.
Mary is survived by her husband, Randal; stepdaughters, Traci (Bryan) Barnhill and Elizabeth (Tom) Sniff; grandchildren, Kathryn (Clayton), Sean (Haydin), Emma and Henry; great-granddaughters, Hallie, Ila and Osie; sister, Claudia (Ray) Beights; and nephews, Wes and Cory (Cori) Beights.
