The Inspiration Point Fire Department Auxiliary will hold its annual bake sale to benefit the department from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at IPFD Station 1, located at 31 Ozark Automotive Road, approximately six miles west of Eureka Springs on U.S. Highway 62.

This week’s Pet of the Week is Istredd. Istredd represents the dozens of kittens currently available for adoption or pre-adoption. Kitten season was strong this year and we have cute little fuzz buckets crawling out of our ears. Istredd, and their siblings, can be met at our adoption center on Highway 62, open daily from noon until 5 p.m. Submitted photo

The Carroll County Master Gardeners are considering joining Boone County Master Gardeners for a Fall Master Gardener Zoom Training class to be held at the Boone County Extension office 1800 Extension Lane in Harrison.

Preserve Arkansas, the only statewide nonprofit advocate for the preservation of Arkansas’s historic places, has announced that Eureka Springs will host “Dollars & Sense of Historic Preservation,” on Friday, Aug. 26 at The Auditorium.
