Eureka Springs needs to take a more proactive approach on an up-to-date vision plan laying out goals for the future of the city. That’s the message city council member Rachael Moyer delivered at the regular council meeting held Monday, Sept. 22.

The Eureka Springs School of the Arts invites the community for an afternoon of creativity at the September Studio Stroll from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on the ESSA campus at 15751 Highway 62 West. This free, family-friendly event offers visitors the opportunity to explore the campus, step inside working studios, and watch artists at work.

The controversial Nimbus Project was back at the forefront of the Carroll County Quorum Court’s regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 16, with residents speaking during public comments about traffic delays created by trucks hauling oversized loads carrying components for the project’s 30 wind turbines.
