The Eureka Springs School of the Arts (ESSA) is excited to share campus expansion plans, as they prepare for long-term sustainability through the purchase of property adjacent to their current campus.
Now that a response to a state survey is complete, the Eureka Springs Hospital Commission is ready to proceed with an “independent investigation” into accusations — aimed primarily at hospital administration — that have included allegations of unlawful violations and a hostile work environment, according to chair Sandy Martin.
Jim Marple, who owns property on either side of Eureka Springs City Council member Harry Meyer’s home on Cross Street, alleges that Meyer pressured the city’s code enforcement officer to cite Marple for code violations related to Marple’s construction of two homes on his property. Copies of text messages between Meyer and city code enforcement officer Paul Sutherland, obtained by the Times-Echo through an open-records request, appear to confirm Marple’s allegations.
The Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division is investigating two recent fires at the site of the Nimbus Wind Farm in Carroll County, and Scout Clean Energy says it plans to increase security at the site.
The Carroll County Master Gardeners invite all gardening enthusiasts to an educational gardening program from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 7, at the Carroll Electric Community Room. The cost is $5 at the door, and advance reservations are not necessary.
