Students in the Eureka Springs School District will be working to “feed” the “monster” later this month during state-mandated ATLAS testing.

Sandy Martin, chair of the Eureka Springs Hospital Commission, is scheduled to meet privately with a representative of the Mercy healthcare system to discuss a potential proposal for Mercy to take over management of Eureka Springs Hospital.

The current controversies and future of the Eureka Springs Hospital continued to be the primary topic of discussion for the Eureka Springs City Council at the council’s regular meeting Monday, April 14.

Now that a response to a state survey is complete, the Eureka Springs Hospital Commission is ready to proceed with an “independent investigation” into accusations — aimed primarily at hospital administration — that have included allegations of unlawful violations and a hostile work environment, according to chair Sandy Martin.
