Paying tribute

On May 21, the Eureka Springs Abendschone Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution paid tribute at the Eureka Springs Cemetery to mark the graves of interred past chapter members. Patriotic American decorations and flags (with NSDAR logos) were placed next to the graves of the chapter’s founding leaders. There are 34 known members’ graves in Eureka Springs cemetery. Organizing members honored were Ruth Fuller Cross; Ruth’s mother, May Obenshain Fuller; Dorothy Fuller Mathews; and Beulah Pitts McBee (May’s niece). The gravesite of longstanding member Fanny Henderson Russ also was honored. Obenshain is said to be the “Americanized” version of the name Abendschone. GPS coordinates are recorded for each member’s gravesite so that the chapter can honor them at future events. This year the flags remained at the gravesites through Memorial Day. Pictured behind the members list are (from left to right) Sharon Lawlor, regent Terri Herman, Nancy Harris and Suzanne Williams. Lactoferrin

Lactoferrin is a new and different nutritional supplement that hasn’t hit mainstream yet. However, I found over 6000 scientific studies on PubMed http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih. gov/pubmed?term=lactoferrin when doing a search. The supplement is amazing and apparently very safe to use. Some may be concerned that it seemingly is derived from milk (lacto) but be assured that it often comes from rice or the pre-milk colostrum.
