A Half-Century of Service

A reception honoring Randy Langhover for his 50 years of service to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office was held Saturday, June 8, at the sheriff’s office in Berryville. Langhover was sworn in by County Judge Arthur Carter as a Carroll County deputy sheriff under Sheriff Dwan Treat on May 24, 1974, and has worked in various capacities for 11 sheriffs. He has also served off and on as a constable since 1984 and will be the Northeast constable again in 2025.
