Arts Across Arkansas

Eureka Springs High School has two state finalists for the Arts Across Arkansas competition. On March 30, these two students have the opportunity to win $250 to $1,000. In the literary arts category, the first four engaging chapters of Laynee DeJarnette’s story titled “Red Coat” is in the running and in the photography category, Chasia Cooper’s image titled “Beyond the Lines,” pictured above ‚ has been chosen as a finalist.

New year, new designation

Sitting down to write this column, I realized we are more than a month into 2024. Where does the time go? Why does it go so fast? Our youngest cat, Burtie, seemingly became a big girl overnight, and I truly don’t know how that happened! I swear she was a kitten on New Year’s Eve.

Student of the Month

Omar Rincon Estrada, the son of Sabina Estrada and Rafael Rincon, has been named the Eureka Springs Rotary Student of the month for January 2024. Omar is a senior at Eureka Springs High School and maintains a 3.0 GPA.
